YouScribe is the largest francophone digital streaming library, providing access to more than 1.5 million books on mobile devices. Digital reading offers a cheap alternative to paper books in Subsaharan Africa where the lack of traditional book distribution hugely hinders schooling progress. In West African countries there is, on average, one library for every 1,350,000 people as opposed to one library for every 13,000 people in the UK.
