The March edition of Books for Keeps is just out and features a personal reading journey from Daniel Hahn. It’s a regular BfK slot and is usually ‘Ten of the Best’, but Danny decided to recommend twenty-seven books you should read – one from each of the twenty-seven countries that make up our wonderful EU. We are delighted to say that our own Carnegie nominated, ‘Elise and the Second-hand Dog’ by Bjarne Reuter, was one of the books mentioned.
“I should also mention a more recent passion,” writes Danny, “The gloriously enjoyable Elise and the Second-hand Dog.”
Elise hails from Denmark and is brilliantly translated by Sian Mackie.
