The National Year of Reading 2026 is a UK-wide campaign designed to help more people rediscover the joy of reading. Instead of asking children to ‘find time to read’, Go All In brings reading to the child, through their passions. It’s about showing that reading isn’t a seperate world, it’s connected with everything that we do. At Wacky Bee Books we have books that are not only great stories, but also support a wide variety of other interests. Panjir and the Bike with Golden Handlebars is a story about friendship, but also includes fun facts about bikes. Nina’s Amazing Gift explores the theme of loss, but is also a story about cookery and food. Alfred and the Blue Whale is about a boy with severe anxiety, but is also all about whales. If you’re into it, read into it! Find out more about the National Year of Reading’s Go All In campaign by clicking on ‘home’ below…
